About Me

I am a 25 year old CrossFitter, and I am primal. I have a Bachelors degree in Health Promotion and Fitness and a Masters degree in Health Education. Just over a year ago, you would have found me working out three hours a day and eating a conventional mainstream diet. My workouts consisted of about 6-8 miles daily as well as monotonous weightlifting at a gym. My meals were based on what I had always learned in school. 100% whole wheat bread, chicken, egg whites, baked chips, peanut butter, sugar free products, and artificially sweetened drinks. I avoided all red meat, bacon, egg yolks, regular butter (basically anything high in fat). I always dreaded my workouts, but I found that was the only way to maintain my weight. A special thanks to my brother, Roberto, for finally being able to convince me that my lifestyle at the time was not the best for me. I am now the head coach at G7 CrossFit, and I eat REAL food (meat, bacon, veggies, whole eggs, real butter, high fat oils, etc.). I love CrossFit and olympic lifting!! I also love testing out different food recipes. This blog will allow you to go along with me on this new journey of my very primal life.
