Granola (well, not really) bars
My time at G7 yesterday was awesome! All the coaches were able to workout together in the afternoon, which is always a great time. Congrats to everyone who was able to accomplish kipping pull-ups last night. Very impressive.
Today is a rest day. This is when I like to take advantage of my resting time and bake! I’ve been working on a recipe for granola bars, and I think I have finally perfected it. These “granola” bars don’t really have granola. Granola is a grain, and I strictly avoid grains in my diet due to the inflammation and insulin spike that they cause. You can read more about that here. The only added sugar in my bar comes from the natural sugar in the dried fruit. They are a hit in my household! I usually snack on one during the day when I get hungry. If you are interested in purchasing some, let me know.
A quick shout out to my brother, Mike, who is currently on his way back to Austin for his second semester of law school. Over the break, you finished my macadamia nuts, ate all the chorizo con huevo, took my face wash from the shower (which I didn’t realize until I was already showering), and stole my Neosporin from my room. After all that, I still wish you were here. I miss you, Mike!
